Nicole Schreiber-Shearer is from New York City and is a rising junior at New York University. She is majoring in Media, Culture and Communications with a minor in Creative Writing. Nicole developed a passion for writing at an early age and became a staff writer for the Washington Square News, a university news source, when she began her freshman year at NYU. After covering several shows at Fall Fashion Week, Nicole decided to focus on covering fashion and events and began an editorial internship at Guest of a Guest.com. In addition to writing content for the site, Nicole became involved in a variety of university related activities. She participated in an outreach program where university students work with school age children from low-income neighborhoods in New York City. Given her previous experience as an English tutor, Nicole knew that sharing her passion for literature would be an eye opening, enriching experience.
Nicole also aimed to give back to the NYU community by offering weekly dance lessons to students and faculty. After spending fifteen years studying ballet at a pre-professional level, Nicole became the co-founder and Vice President of NYU Ballet. In addition to teaching weekly classes for students of all levels, she helps plan special events including master classes with esteemed dance teachers and trips to watch live performances at Lincoln Center. Although she is no longer working towards a professional career, Nicole enjoys ballet and watching dance as well as checking out art museums and exploring the diverse streets of her hometown, Manhattan
